Kitting & Assembly Services for Retail and E-Commerce
We turn individual components into retail-ready kits, promotional displays, subscription boxes, and bundled products — all inside our own facilities.
Your marketing team designs a holiday gift bundle. Your purchasing team sources six components from three different suppliers. Those components land at our dock on different days, in different configurations, from different countries. Our job: turn that into a single, retail-ready kit that shows up at the store looking like it was always one product.
What We Mean by Kitting & Assembly
Product Kitting
Combining multiple SKUs into a single sellable unit. A pet care starter kit, a hardware bundle, or a promotional gift set. Each component is stored separately, then assembled on demand.
Retail Display Assembly
Building pre-loaded displays for retail floor placement. Pegboard displays, endcap assortments, counter displays, PDQ trays — assembled and shrink-wrapped, ready for the store floor.
Subscription Box Assembly
Curating and packing subscription box orders where contents change monthly. New BOM, new configuration, tight ship-by deadline.
Promotional Packing
Holiday bundles, back-to-school kits, product launch packs, bonus-with-purchase configurations. Short-run projects with hard deadlines.
Light Assembly
Attaching hang tags, inserting hardware, applying labels, bagging components, assembling multi-part products.
How Our Kitting Process Works
Component Receiving & QC
Components arrive from your suppliers. We receive, inspect, and stage in a designated kitting zone. Nothing goes into a kit until all components are present.
Work Order Initiation
When components are in-house, we generate a work order from your BOM specifying exactly what goes into each kit, in what quantity, and in what packaging.
Assembly
Our kitting team assembles each unit according to the work order. Visual work aids, sample units, and QC checkpoints maintain consistency across the entire run.
Quality Inspection & Labelling
Finished kits get inspected, labelled with the new SKU barcode, and entered into the WMS as a new sellable unit.
Storage or Immediate Shipment
Finished kits either go into storage for ongoing fulfillment or ship immediately to retail distribution centres, stores, or end customers.
Why Mikhaiel for Kitting
Trained staff, not temporary labour.
Cross-trained warehouse teams handle kitting alongside pick-and-pack and shipping, understanding the full lifecycle of the product.
Speed when deadlines are tight.
The decision to add a shift or reallocate labour happens in a conversation — not a procurement process.
Scale for enterprise volumes.
Our Belleville facility has dedicated space for kitting operations that scale without interfering with ongoing workflows.
We handle the whole chain.
Components received, kits assembled, finished kits picked, packed, and shipped — all under one roof with one WMS and one point of contact.
Frequently Asked Questions
We handle both small runs (hundreds of units) and large-scale production (thousands to tens of thousands). The economics improve with volume, but we won't turn away a smaller project if it fits our capabilities.
